Comenius Week in Kärla Basic School - Friday, 15 May

14/06/2015 12:55

Friday was our last day in Kärla.  We had to get up early at that day, even if we were tired after all the activities of the meeting. We were also tired for the evening hours spent together with our Comenius friends.

We met at school at 8:30. The last day at Karla’s Basic school. We spent the morning listening to the presentations from all the countries of the project.

Estonia prepared for us a presentation concerning the previous meetings. It was very nice to see the photos of our friends, to remember the rich and different presentation our teams prepared for the other meetings.

Than the other countries spoke to us about the risks of internet and the role of the “Internet Police”.

Finally we shared our euro spots. The videos were all very good, made with different approaches. But the idea was the same: Live healthy in a healthy community!

We spent a lot of time sitting inside the school, but it wasn’t boring at all, we were exchanging experiences and ideas with friends!

We had a healthy lunch in the school cantina, a short free time and then quickly we caught the bus to the Soap factory. After a short journey we could visit a place full of different “smells”. The owners told us how they started making soap, explained the various types of soap and showed us how to do it. We could stay in the factory longer, but our timetable was very strict.

So we went back to school and then to our host families.

Our teachers spent the last evening together at the golf club and we met all together with the other students in a Community space where the Estonian families prepared for us a lot of food and games. A memorable evening! After five days in Estonia we were able to talk to each other in English, to appreciate the different cultures, we had a lot of fun and learned a lot of things. We all went back home richer than before.

We didn’t want to live Saaremaa any more.
